“ Had a super Sunday lunch, food was well cooked, nicely presented, tasted lovely. The staff were friendly and efficient as was Natalie. We wish her well in this, her new venture, we will be back. Thanks Natalie ”
“ Fantastic service. They squeezed myself and a friend in, even though they were very busy. Lamb Wellington was delicious and if I had had more room inside I could have eaten more portions of the amazing Stick Toffee Pudding. Great place for a drink too. ”
“ We had a very tasty Sunday lunch with our family. The Landlady and team were all lovely and made us very welcome; happily accommodating our 6 month grandson and his pushchair with absolutely no difficulty. ”
“ Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. We came on new years and had a delicious and interesting meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, the pub itself was well decorated and quiet, and the chefs went above and beyond. I have dietary requirements so I expect that there are some meals I may not be able to have, but when the chef found out he had ideas and substitutes that he implemented throughout the multiple courses. I have never felt so cared for at a restaurant and fully appreciate the staff’s hospitality and care. Will definitely be coming back! ”
“ Absolutely superb food and wonderful friendly service. Made such a difference to our (large) families holiday. Thank you so much and can’t wait to see you all again soon Joe, Alan and all the kids ”
“ Had a fabulous Easter Sunday roast. Great plate: generous slices of beef, lots of veg (8 different veggies!) perfectly cooked, creamy cauliflower cheese, extra gravy for the table. Friendly and attentive staff. Had a great chat with the owner/manager who's recently taken the place over. We got there before 12, so had a country walk on a public footpath that starts at the pub. ”
“ We've been coming to this pub for the past 25 years. Interested to see how the place had changed since it has changed hands.... Delighted to see that it has retained some of the stylish elements and added more, including more comfortable dining chairs! Warm greeting from the new owner and friendly, efficient service from staff. Excellent food cooked by Carlos and colleague... exceptionally large portions and served hot. Very reasonable prices. We're impressed. Highly recommended! ”
“ We popped in by chance for a lunch (it had been on our list for some while). We were not disappointed, a very friendly welcome and excellent service throughout. The food was lovely we both went from Brazilian specials ( feijoada and moqueca), both of which were excellent, so nice to see in a country pub too. Thoroughly recommended. ”
